No matter where you decide to eat, leave the formal clothes home. This is Orlando, and with very few exceptions, anything goes. Walt Disney World Dining - There are restaurants for every taste and mood. Eat a prehistoric breakfast, have lunch in a colonial inn, and dinner in a 50's diner. Of course, there are all of the many international dining options in Epcot.
Call before you go. In 1994, Walt Disney World instituted priority seating. You can arrange priority seating up to 60 days in advance. The restaurant doesn't hold a table for you, but guarantees you the next available table after you arrive at the restaurant. Dining with Disney Characters - The kids will love having breakfast with Goofy or dinner with Donald. For the younger set it's a thrill to dine at a restaurant where their favorite characters show up for an autograph or a hug. Church Street Station - Rivaled only by Disney's Pleasure Island, Church Street Station is a complex of restaurants and night spots occupying local landmarks. This club-and-dining complex offers 20 live shows and street performers, and its interiors have a magnificent collection of woodwork, stained glass, and antiques. If you're not interested in seeing the shows, stop by before 5 pm and avoid the cover charge.
Dinner Shows - Make no mistake, the focus here is on fun and entertaining the kids, don't expect high drama or haute cuisine. The favorite among locals is Arabian Nights. It's an equine adventure with the Black Stallion, Wild West cowboys and horse soccer. (800-553-6116) Take a trip to Medieval Times and eat barbecued ribs and herb-roasted chicken with your fingers while mounted knights joust. (800-229-8300) For all you can eat prime rib buffet mixed with murder, try MurderWatch Mystery Theatre. (800-624-4109) For special effects, the Pirates Dinner Adventure can't be beat.
